We have a crazy coral crush going on! Vibrant coral hues are the perfect addition to your summer wedding, whether you’re marrying beachside or somewhere rustic and rural.

We love how this bright spark of colour shines bright next to an ivory gown and it is guaranteed to bring your wedding photos to life.

A pop of coral colour for your bridesmaids dresses will certainly leave them feeling peachy and this warm tone will be a firm favourite as it compliments all skin tones.

Team coral shades with a paler palette, such as grey for the groomsmen suits and white flowers, to add a sophisticated finish and to avoid a colour clash.

Map Heart You Mean The World To Me

I LOVE maps! I’m a self declared map lover. Okay, and I love atlases, and globes, and literally anything that’s map related really! I just like to know where I am and where I’m going and to have a look at all the exciting places there is out there to visit….is this just me?!

Anyway, my long-standing love of maps has recently been very on trend. Map prints are everywhere and they work perfectly for a destination wedding. So, take on the world with these map-tastic, destination wedding ideas and turn a wedding location in to a map wedding theme.

Invitations:

A wedding invitation not only announces the date of the wedding, but it also gives guests their first taster as to what they can expect from the wedding day.

Show them in style with these bespoke, handmade map heart cards from Bombus – guaranteed to delight and excite guests about an upcoming destination wedding. Each map is glazed before being cut into the Bombus heart shape and then mounted, so it floats above the card. The cards come in two sizes and prices start at £9 per card. See the full range and more from Bombus.

Bombus: “Of course, the map only details the location – it’s the heart behind it that tells the story”. Cute!

Order of service:

For impact, continue the destination theme throughout the full wedding day.

If order of service sheets are needed for the ceremony, the heart map from the invitations could be scanned in and used on the front of the order of service sheets. To save on costs, order of service sheets could be designed simply and printed at home or with the help of a local printer or a Prontaprint store.

Wedding Garden Lighting

My husband and I were in Barcelona recently on a lovely, sunshine mini-break. One evening, as we meandered through the cobbled, gothic streets of the city in search of a restaurant (and our next jug of sangria!), we spotted a tiny place up ahead. Its exterior was adorned in fairy lights and was like a romantic, twinkling beacon down through the dark alleyways.

I said to my husband that fairy lights are such a simple addition but they’re always a sure-fire way to attract people! The restaurant looked beautiful and quaint wrapped up in the cute little lights and their al fresco tables and chairs were full to the brim and bustling with customers.

I love the instant romanticism you get from subtle, sparkling lights. Candles burning brightly, twinkling strings of fairy lights, lines of delicate lanterns swaying in the breeze – I can’t resist a wedding with such shimmering details. It’s such an easy way to add a little touch of magic to your venue.

So, here’s a little light inspiration. From real weddings to buy now pieces for your own reception or party, I hope this brightens up your day!
