Yesterday the blog was transformed into a winter wonderland which was very in keeping with the cold December weather we are experiencing. This morning however, I’m sharing some summertime inspired style to brighten your week and leave you dreaming of sunshiny days – they’re closer than you think!

When you’re planning your wedding and you start to think about a colour palette for your big day, choosing hues that compliment the season within which you’ll tie the knot is a great place to start. If you’re getting married abroad and having a warm weather wedding, pretty pastels or bold and bright shades will compliment the sunshine scene and lush garden backdrops.

Today’s talented shoot team combined classic light colours with bold pops of pink and yellow, some sparkling sequins and hints of antique metallic for a fresh, modern vintage garden party theme. The addition of vintage luggage, mason jars and rustic wooden windows as a wedding altar heightened the vintage-vibe whilst still having an up-to-date edge.

Whether you’re looking for beautiful bridal shower ideas or peachy wedding theme inspiration these gorgeous girlie details will make your heart flutter. Delicate pastel hues are so on trend this season for your maids and the lace dresses in today’s shoot are super sweet.

There’s just the right amount of vintage details with tall tapered candles, dainty painted chinaware, beveled antique glassware and Cath Kidston-esque floral prints. Oh and there’s mountains of candy coloured macaroons topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries, there’s some delicious looking fruit teas brewing and the party ends with what could be perceived as a Cosmopolitan cocktail – heaven!

Jen Leslie Events:

“Perfectly coordinated by Jen Leslie Events and beautifully captured by Tonie Christine Photography, this Anthropology-inspired shoot shows off the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with a romantic, feminine touch. Portraying a bridal luncheon, all the little details compliment springtime in Seattle – a time that can still be chilly but blossoms are beginning to reappear promising better weather to come. So tea was served to warm the guests, alongside berries and lemonade.”

“Hosted at The Corson Building the simplicity of the space was brought to life with gorgeous bouquets from Columbia City Bouquet that elegantly combined soft pinks with the grit of ferns – true NW greenery.”
