Balian village on the west coast of Bali radiates a laidback vibe with a distinct undercurrent of cool; surrounded by rice paddies and coconut groves the volcanic black sand beach of Balian is famed with surfers making it an ideal spot for sun and surf with an easygoing atmosphere to boot.

Prudence and Shane love to surf in Balian and so, as it is with many couples who decide to get married abroad, they made the decision to share this special corner of the planet that they had lost their hearts to with their nearest and dearest on their wedding day.

Their destination wedding could not have been more true to the surroundings, with colourful seating and meditation cushions, this chilled couple created an oasis of calm overlooking the beach for their nuptials. Relaxed, romantic and informal was the ambiance they were hoping to create for their guests and this was certainly achieved – peace love and sandy feet seems to sum up their beautiful day to perfection!

Ps – You’ll love this bride and groom’s destination wedding style! Don’t you think Prue’s wedding dress looks just so effortlessly fitting for her beachside wedding? And Shane’s dusky powder blue suit is a current favourite of mine I must say….oh, and don’t get me started on how cute their flower girl is! Enjoy…

You Mean The World To Me

You’ve got to love simple and cost effective ways to add personality to your big day and this easy to add detail is my latest favourite. Sometimes it’s the most straightforward ideas that make the most impact and create great photograph opportunities.

If little ones are walking up the aisle before you, have your dapper little dudes or delightful little flower girls announce your arrival by carrying a sweet ‘Here Comes The Bride’ sign. Homemade signs, shop bought signs, alternative wording on signs such as ‘Here Comes Your Girl’ – there’s lots of ways to make this super cute and to put your own personal stamp on it.

Beware – there is a very strong possibility that these little cherubs will overshadow your entrance by being so adorable!
