Gone are the days that the only thing you carry down the aisle on your wedding day is a bridal bouquet!

Fabulous flower crowns have been taking the wedding world by storm for the last few years and adorning yourself with florals on your big day doesn’t stop there! There’s a growing trend for a whole host of fresh flower wedding accessories and this week’s Friday Five brings you five fabulous alternative ways to wear fresh flowers on your special day.

Maybe you just won’t be able to resist a glorious flower crown or halo, or if they are too much of a statement piece for you, how about intertwining pretty petals into your plaits or bridal updo?

Why not try something really unique by accentuating your waist with a band of blooms, or have your maids carry a colourful corsage down the aisle instead of a bouquet, or if you’re to be a barefoot bride go for this season’s must-have the floral anklet?

Krausz Jewellery – The Vintage Glamour Bridal Collection

When it comes to bridal headpieces vintage elegance is the trend de jour. So if your wedding day outfit requires a finishing touch and vintage glamour is the look you’re going for, you’re in for a bespoke bridal treat.

Michelle Krausz of Krausz Jewellery has launched a new collection of custom-made bridal hair accessories inspired by a more glamorous age. Carefully sourcing vintage jewellery from the 1950s, Michelle then reworks them into unique bridal headpieces by adding her own creative twist.

Michelle graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2002 with a degree in Jewellery and has collaborated with fashion and product designers including Tord Boontje to produce a collection for Atelier Swarovski.

I caught up with Michelle to ask her more about the new collection, her move into bridal accessories and to find out what inspires her creativity…
