Aubrey & Andrew   ♥   New York, USA

Photographer:   Kane and Social

Some weddings are virtually impossible to edit. I just want to feature every, single, photo! And this seaside soiree in Quogue, New York is certainly one of those darling days.

Being from the UK, Quogue was new news to me. Being only 80 miles out of New York City, this charming bayside village sits in the heart of the infamous Hamptons on Long Island, Suffolk County, New York and boasting un-spoilt stretches of clear white sandy beaches, this is one fabulous destination-wedding locale.

It played the perfect host to Aubrey and Andrew’s relaxed marriage ceremony which is one of those infectious events that with just one look makes you wish you’d been invited. You can’t take your eyes off the fun in the photography as the personality of Aubrey and Andrew and their nearest and dearest shines through.

Modern vintage, quirky and cool, this day has it all, including of course an incredible ocean view locale and some seriously dapper wedding style thrown in for good measure. Oh and of course an insanely talented photography team – Kane and Social – to capture the laid-back luxury atmosphere to perfection.

So come and indulge in today’s beachside celebration, you’ll be inspired from the off.

Real Wedding – Laid-Back Luxury Elopement In Bali

31/10/2014 | 2

Caroline & Matt   ♥   Bali, Indonesia

Photographer:   Windee Winata – PhotoFactory Bali

Elopements have become increasingly popular in recent years. Many of the elopements featured on You Mean The World To Me have been of couples that want to get married and legally bind their unity but they simply didn’t want the fuss, the expense or the stress of organising a traditional big white wedding.

This is also true of most of the destination wedding couples featured on the blog too, they get hitched overseas as they want to do things a little differently, escape the complications of planning ‘normal’ nuptials back home and they get to enjoy a trip of a lifetime with their loved ones whilst they’re at it!

Whatever your personal reasons are for eloping or getting married abroad, there is no denying that the beautiful island of Bali creates one of the most breathtaking backdrops for saying ‘I Do.’ Once you see the stunning scenery from today’s elegant elopement you’ll find it hard to want to tie the knot anywhere else!

Caroline and Matt wisely chose magical Mick’s Place for their elopement in Bali. Positioned on the cliff at Binging Beach, this Polynesian-influenced bungalow resort enjoys unrestricted views of the Indian Ocean.

I guarantee that you’ll love everything about this laid-back wedding day; from Caroline’s graceful gown that she teamed with beach-ready barefoot sandals, to the bright tropical blooms and traditional Balinese ceremony, from the casual surfing influences to the enchanting sunset wedding dinner that the couple shared, this is truly a dream destination wedding.

Real Wedding – Blissful Beachfront Ceremony, Thailand

Gabrielle & Gareth   ♥   Phuket, Thailand

Photographer:   Hilary Cam Photography

Of all the beautiful sandy shores there are in the world upon which to tie the knot, the destination ceremonies in Thailand always look like pure wedded bliss.

The gorgeous Gabrielle and Gareth, like many couples, decided to get married abroad as it provided a midway point for their families who are from opposite corners of the globe – South Africa and Australia. The picturesque island of Phuket was their destination, the secluded beach of Kata Noi Bay was to be their dreamy big day setting.

Gabrielle looked every bit the beautiful boho bride with a delicate headdress, floating veil and a chic and unique layered gown. Oh and of course, who could forget her strappy gold Choo’s and matching clutch bag – the ultimate in finishing touches!

As always, today’s flyaway couple added their own personal touch to their destination wedding with brightly coloured sunglasses and fans as favours for their guests and they enchanced their blissful beachfront wedding ceremony with traditional Jewish customs. The wedding party then headed on to the pure white sands to watch with wonder as the sun set over the ocean to a vibrant display of pink, violet and scarlet hues – destination wedding perfection!

Photographer:   Julie Comfort of Comfort Studio

Sometimes you only need to lay your eyes on one single wedding photograph for you to know that what you see before you is going to be Amazing (yes, with a capital A!).

Of course you guessed right…today’s delightful destination day in Costa Rica is beyond-doubt one of those wonderful weddings and I guarantee it will have you instantly obsessed.

Reza proposed to Lia whilst on a vacation together in Costa Rica and so it seemed only right to hot-foot-it back to this little piece of paradise that they hold dear to their hearts, along with their close family and friends for their nuptials.

They held their darling day at the luxury beach resort of Reserva Conchal; ‘a spectacular resort nestled between the lush tropical forests of Costa Rica and the shimmering Pacific Ocean, with pristine stretches of ivory sand overlooking the Catalinas Islands.’ Sounds all-kinds-of-dreamy right? Well it certainly was and with a little help from wedding planner extraordinaire Weddings Costa Rica they produced a heart achingly beautiful day to remember!

Every fabulous feature is seriously swoon-worthy; the delicate combination of pretty purple hues against crisp white tones with a hint of metallic is simply perfection and Lia and Reza’s big day style complimented their modern vintage theme impeccably with Lia rocking a gorgeously graceful gown along with a stylish flower crown.

The oh-so-talented Julie of Comfort Studio was also there to capture every magical moment of this breathtaking beachside day.

Real Wedding – Secluded Beach Ceremony In Mexico

Getting Married Abroad

Laura & Ramin   ♥   Sayulita, Mexico

Photographer:   Dekker Photography

Mexico has long been topping the popularity charts for destination weddings and it’s not hard to see why; with a year-round tropical climate, sundrenched white beaches lapped by clear azure waters and an abundance of hotel and villa options combined with warm Mexican hospitality and delectable cuisine, this is one lovely locale.

Laura and Ramin decided to go off the beaten tourist path in Mexico for their destination wedding and tied the knot on the secluded sandy beach of sunny Sayulita – a charming fishing village situated on the west coast and famed for its surfing.

Traditional Mexican charisma is in abundance here and today’s couple ensured that their day represented the local culture with a wooden Mexican ‘La Boda’ wedding sign and ‘Novia’ and ‘Novio’ bride and groom seat signs and of course customary Mexican mariachi musicians sporting silver studded charro suits and sombreros to entertain their guests.

Your wedding guests will love it if you add some destination details to your day like Laura and Ramin did; getting married abroad is truly unique and by showcasing the lovely local style you will really give your wedding party a day to remember.
