Invest in the best photographer you can afford and consider a videographer.

The magical moments captured last forever; you really do appreciate having incredible photos and video moments to share with your loved ones and treasure after your big day is over.

Don’t get caught up in perfection.

Some things might go wrong or not be exactly how you planned, but none of your guests would ever know or notice. You can’t control everything and it’s important not to stress the small stuff and remember that this day is for the two of you – nothing else truly matters than you and your hubby-to-be tying the knot. By keeping this in mind it will help you shrug off any minor mishaps or tiny tweaks you would have made in hindsight.

Have faith in your vendors and suppliers – you’re in good hands.

Introduce them to your best man and maid of honour so that if there are any questions to be answered on the day, they won’t come to you!  Ensure you delegate any wedding day jobs; people love to feel included and will enjoying having a role to play in your big day.

Eat, drink and be married!

Eat breakfast even if you don’t feel like it and relax with a glass (or two!) of champers to settle your nerves before the ceremony.

Kiss your husband as often as you can!

You can indulge in as many PDA’s as you want on your w-day and you won’t be able to resist.

Take it all in and enjoy every moment.

The day really does whizz by in a blur – just like everyone says! Steal a few moments away from the wedding party just you and your new hubby and we would highly recommend nipping to the loo once on your own (depending on whether you can go alone with your style of dress!) as it makes an ideal moment to just take a deep breath and think ‘wow’ to yourself.

And finally, there’s nothing more to say than – enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

If you want more advice, inspiration and ideas for wherever you plan to say ‘I do’ then You Mean The World To Me is the destination for you.
