Here’s our guide to the top five European wedding locations for 2015….

First up, it has to be Italy when it comes to European destination weddings. The country is synonymous with romance and is the location of choice when it comes to A-list celeb weddings, which only aids in fueling the popularity of the Italian wedding market.

Hollywood’s finest bachelor George Clooney finally tied the knot to leggy lawyer Amal Alamuddin with a Venice City Hall ceremony in 2014 and of course who could forget the infamous, elaborate nuptials of Kim and Kayne last May in Florence? Before them, loved up celebs such as Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, and Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, hosted fabulous wedding soirees in Italy.

Follow in their famous footsteps and choose a rustic wedding in the Tuscan countryside, tie the knot with a sophisticated castle wedding, head to The Amalfi Coast and say ‘I Do’ with a cliff edge ceremony or host a chic city soiree in one of the world-famous metropolises.

The gorgeous Greek Islands have always been a fashionable choice for destination weddings due to their world-renowned scenery, warm hospitality (oh and it possibly has something to do with that little known movie called Mamma Mia!).

Couples are currently choosing Santorini for stunning cliff top ceremonies and sensational sunsets, Mykonos for impressive hotels, fine dining and stylish nightlife and lesser known islands such as Spetses in order to treat their guests to a more traditional Greek experience off the beaten tourist trail.

If you’re thinking of heading to France to say “I Do” then picturesque Provence could be the destination for you (if it’s good enough for Brad and Angelina, hey?!).

If you’re looking for a European wedding destination that can deliver authentic French character and charm, there are so many stunning locations in Provence; from grand romantic chateaus to shabby chic, light stone country houses decorated with the classic blue shutters, to dreamy boutique hotels and luxurious five star abodes.

The glorious Mediterranean climate brings sunshiny days throughout spring, summer and into autumn, which is perfect if you’re hoping for an outdoor garden wedding. The lavender fields, which would create a picture-perfect backdrop (and theme!) to a Provence wedding, bloom in summer.

Ibiza is so hot right now when it comes to getting married abroad. Admittedly your mum will imagine wild parties and clubbing when you suggest The White Isle as your chosen wedding locale however, year after year new visitors to this Spanish gem are learning that there is so much more to this incredible island than partying (although if you do fancy a few late nights whilst you’re there, you’ll never be more than a short taxi ride away from some action!).

Stylish is the buzzword when it comes to Ibiza weddings; think picturesque white washed churches, sleek five star hotels and beachside venues or romantic, traditional Agroturism hotels with all the charm that your rustic loving heart could desire. Prepare to fall hard for the traditional side of the island and everything that comes with the laid-back luxury that is Ibiza style.
