Happy Chinese New Year!
2014 is the year of the horse in the Chinese zodiac calendar, so if ponies are a special part of your life, stop horsing around (sorry, couldn’t resist!) and add a little equestrian elegance to your big day.
The trend for equestrian chic rears its beautiful head season after season and a subtle nod towards horse-inspired detailing could create a unique wedding theme.
Horseshoes have long played a role in weddings; being an ancient symbol of good luck, a horseshoe is traditionally given to a bride on the morning of her wedding. Carry a lucky silver horseshoe with your bouquet or go one step further and use the symbol as a print throughout your wedding.
To really win the race, have a horse themed wedding and add colourful rosettes, ribbons and trophies to your big day decor and arrive by horse and carriage to your ceremony.

This theme would work wonderfully for a ceremony set in the countryside or at a barn, or if you simply want to create a rustic-vibe.
Add hay bales as seating to really give your venue some stable styling.
