I love the stylish elegance of Rebecca and Sam’s big day in Bali. The beautiful rose bouquets, the bride’s fabulous fishtail frock, her graceful sweeping veil and the suave and stylish groom and groomsmen – this is one super-chic soiree that effortlessly enhances the sunshiny setting of Bingin Beach in Bali.

Quirky and cool décor (hello giant inflatable swans and oversized light-up love letters!) added extra personality and flair to this already unforgettable destination wedding location.

So enjoy taking a peek at this cute couple’s dashing destination wedding – it certainly might persuade you to tie the knot in Bali!

Photographer:   PhotoFactory Bali

Did you know that purple has reigned as one of the most popular colours for weddings for years? Well when you see a beautifully sweet, purple destination day like Brooke and Drew’s it’s easy to understand why!

This versatile and super-pretty hue works wonderfully against the sunny scenery of a destination wedding, so if you’re getting married abroad be sure to consider lovely lilac tones for your theme.

Like many couples before them, Brooke and Drew always knew that Bali would be the destination wedding location for them. They fell head over heels in love with this tropical paradise during their first holiday as a couple and after discovering that Ayana Resort and Spa offered everything that they both could wish for, they knew they needn’t look any further, they had found the wedding location of the their dreams….

Getting Married In Bali

Kate & Mark   ♥   Bali, Indonesia

Photographer:   PhotoFactory Bali

If someone asked me where I thought the best destination wedding location was, I’d find it soooo hard to choose but if I had to pick just one, then I might just have to say Bali.

Every wedding that appears in my inbox from the faraway shores of Bali has me instantly addicted. It’s not just the pristine beaches, lush tropical scenery and spectacular choice of luxury hotels and venues that Bali has to offer, the wedding scene here just seems so well organised as well! With super-talented teams on hand, this Indonesian island is well versed when it comes to planning a wedding, and it seems to enable every couple’s destination ‘I Do’ to simply shine with character and flair.

Kate and Mark’s sunshiny soiree at the magical Mick’s Place, Bali is no exception to this rule; their day radiates with personality and style. From Kate’s beautiful beaded Jenny Packham gown which shimmered in the sunlight to her fabulous flower crown, from their vibrant turquoise theme and chevron print table runners to the charming customised quote boards, handmade favours and table settings – this is a personalised destination wedding done oh-so-right.

Real Wedding – Laid-Back Luxury Elopement In Bali

31/10/2014 |

Caroline & Matt   ♥   Bali, Indonesia

Photographer:   Windee Winata – PhotoFactory Bali

Elopements have become increasingly popular in recent years. Many of the elopements featured on You Mean The World To Me have been of couples that want to get married and legally bind their unity but they simply didn’t want the fuss, the expense or the stress of organising a traditional big white wedding.

This is also true of most of the destination wedding couples featured on the blog too, they get hitched overseas as they want to do things a little differently, escape the complications of planning ‘normal’ nuptials back home and they get to enjoy a trip of a lifetime with their loved ones whilst they’re at it!

Whatever your personal reasons are for eloping or getting married abroad, there is no denying that the beautiful island of Bali creates one of the most breathtaking backdrops for saying ‘I Do.’ Once you see the stunning scenery from today’s elegant elopement you’ll find it hard to want to tie the knot anywhere else!

Caroline and Matt wisely chose magical Mick’s Place for their elopement in Bali. Positioned on the cliff at Binging Beach, this Polynesian-influenced bungalow resort enjoys unrestricted views of the Indian Ocean.

I guarantee that you’ll love everything about this laid-back wedding day; from Caroline’s graceful gown that she teamed with beach-ready barefoot sandals, to the bright tropical blooms and traditional Balinese ceremony, from the casual surfing influences to the enchanting sunset wedding dinner that the couple shared, this is truly a dream destination wedding.

Real Wedding – I Dreamed A Dream In Bali

10/09/2014 |

Leanne & Luke   ♥   Bali, Indonesia

Photographer:   PhotoFactory Bali

You’ve got to love a good international love story! The chance encounter’s halfway around the world, where a lovely pair randomly meet and find the one they’re going to marry; it’s what the word serendipity was surely made for!

Well, today’s darling duo has an equally lovely tale of fate to tell. Leanne is from Wales in the UK and Luke lives in Tasmania. Travel brought them to each other in Tasmania (where they were introduced by a mutual friend) as Leanne was travelling the world. They had a whirlwind romance, fell in love and decided to get hitched, so Leanne started planning to move and set up a new life in Tasmania with Luke and his adorable twin boys. I know…it’s like the perfect romantic movie script!

Due to them both being travel fans and since the guests that would be invited to their wedding would be from every corner of the globe, they decided that a destination wedding somewhere neutral would be the most suitable big day for them.

Leanne had dreamt of saying “I Do” in breathtaking Bali and it seemed the picture-perfect place for friends and family from around the world to meet and celebrate their nuptials. And a dream wedding it was too, from Leanne’s dazzling Jenny Packham dress to the magical cliff top venue, they had their day their way and it was literally a dream come true.

Bright and bold weddings have been a huge hit this year and they make for a very colourful affair, but when you stumble across a classic all-white or magical monochrome soiree like today’s elegant beach ceremony, you can’t help but fall in love with chic black and white tones.

Farrah and Shamus chose Bali for their destination wedding, and it’s not hard to see why. What could be more romantic than saying ‘I do’ on bleached-white sands, the glorious sun beaming overhead and a slight ocean breeze? Even just thinking about it makes me want to hop on the next flight out to this tropical paradise!

Farrah says:

“When it came to planning our special day, we wanted to do something a little different so we decided a destination wedding in Bali would be perfect. The flights and accommodation costs for guests was very affordable from Western Australia and Northern Territory, Australia (where most of our close friends and family live) and we gave everyone more than a year’s notice to prepare.”
