Honeymoon Hotel Review – Aguas De Ibiza, Santa Eulalia, Ibiza

12/08/2013 | 0

The pretty resort of Santa Eulalia (the third largest town in Ibiza) is a mere 20minute drive from Ibiza airport. Keeping its traditional Spanish charm, you’ll find tables lining the pavements outside colourful cafes and bars where the locals enjoy a cool beer and afternoon tapas. This is somewhere to enjoy relaxation and restaurants rather than dancing and DJ’s.

The exclusive five-star Aguas De Ibiza eco-hotel is one of Santa Eulalia’s finest and is situated at the marina (an area that is bustling in the evening with its numerous cafes and restaurants and a handful of relaxed bars).

Driving down a quiet road you see the hotel’s stone exterior up ahead and its landmark, white painted tree standing starkly at the entrance.

Through the revolving glass doors you enter a cool, calm and tranquil marble reception; a welcome retreat from the soaring temperatures outside, as Ibiza can reach scorching temperatures in the summer sun. Greeted by the reception staff (who wear typically Ibizan white cotton uniforms creating a relaxed spa vibe) we were promptly shown to our room.

Room with a view:

The rooms are arranged in accordance to Feng Shui (to seek harmony of the space) and are comfortable, modern and chic, with king-sized beds, a living area and private terraces. Continuing the sleek interior design of the hotel, contemporary natural stones, light wood and pure white walls are teamed with a splash of aquamarine. The glass walled bathroom comes complete with a deep stone bathtub, separate rain shower and glistening iridescent tiles. The finishing touches include all of the latest technologies: Bang & Olufsen TV’s, electric curtains and programmable mood lighting.

Heavenly hotel:

You cannot help but relax at the private outdoor pool area, enjoying the white isle sunshine on a double sun lounger whilst appreciating impeccable waiter service. Aguas De Ibiza has a grown-up glamour atmosphere, delivering a peaceful and chic-retreat that is perfect for a get away from it all holiday or a heavenly honeymoon.

Experience the plunge pool at the rooftop Scuba Chill-Out Bar with attractive views over the marina, or while-away the early evening hours watching the yachts returning from a day at Formentera whilst Balearic beats play to the enchanting sunset.

The main course:

Aguas De Ibiza boasts four main dining areas:

  • Oligo Madeinterranean – treat your self to a wake-up call with the champagne breakfast buffet.
  • Albastro – light bites and tapas are served around the clock in the lounge, lobby or terrace.
  • Air Ibiza – a roof terrace restaurant fusing Japanese and Mediterranean flavours.
  • La Sal – dishes up exquisite regional cuisine with a gourmet, modern twist.

Sumptuous spa:

The calming, water inspired spa epitomises the hotels refined luxury; indulge in water circuits, a wide-ranging treatment list, the Clarins Skin Spa or the beauty and hair salon.

If you love the sound of this boutique hotel, Aguas De Ibiza is also available as a hip, high-end wedding location.
