Wedding Theme Inspiration – Bright & Beautiful Vintage Travel

I hardly know where to begin with this shoot! It’s bursting with pops of warm weather brights, every single photograph literally has you longing for the joy of sunshiny days and the whole theme is inspired by travel, globes, maps and summer trips to one of Europe’s most vibrant cities…Amsterdam!

Throw in some seriously-stylish vintage inspiration, a cheerful bicycle or two and a hint of whimsy and you have all the quirky, creative ideas you need for a spectacular destination wedding!

Erin Johnson Photography:

“We LOVE summer travel!  Myself and my husband Paul, have traveled all through Europe and so we decided to pull a bit of inspiration from one of our favorite places – Amsterdam!  There’s just something about riding bicycles on cobblestone streets and of course the tulips.  Mix in our addiction to all things vintage, in this case: vintage luggage, cameras, globes, collected stamps and travel tags and some of our very favorite vendors and you have this little inspiration shoot!  We’re calling it ‘Summer In Amsterdam!’ – ENJOY!”

Wedding Theme Inspiration – Vintage Travel

Calling all destination brides-to-be! Today’s seriously stylish shoot was created by the experts in luxurious wedding and event planning Lavish Wed, and shows you how to add perfect hints of a vintage travel wedding theme to your big day.

The oh-so-talented team from Lavish Wed, along with a group of stylish suppliers, created a destination-wedding themed backdrop with a vintage-twist. Cute calligraphy messages were scrawled on maps and old pictures, battered suitcases were stacked high as a display area and antique lace table cloths, colourful cut glassware and tall tapered candles provided a romantic finish to the table setting – this is DIY-done right!

Beautiful bouquets and fabulous flower crowns the shades of a sunset, provided bright pops of colour and just the right contrast to the delicate vintage details, all captured to perfection by Arina B Photography.

There is so much wedding pretty to share from this styled shoot that the second part will be coming up this afternoon – you don’t want to miss it, there’s even a hot air balloon involved!
